Hearing Avin’s mom come out to express her support to her son brought tears to my eyes. Thank you, Auntie! You are a blessing! We 💕 you!
Please make more of such relatable videos. I want to know what actually happen to raj. Did he actually find true love or did he end up just being alone by himself. I want to know how that closeted gay guy manage to overcome his fear of being known…. Etc etc. Thanks!
Oh we are working on season 2. stay tuned !! Make sure you subscribe and let your friends know about PLU !!
I love this series! It has soo much potential to go further and explore the various gay cliques in SG. Though it could use shorter sex scenes, I do wanna know more of how the characters progress! Thank you for these shorts! Hope to see more!
Amazing series! I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. I hope there’s a season 2 because I’d love to see what happens next to all of the characters.
Hey DeMon, Yeah, we didn’t expect that it would turn out so well too. What would you like to see happen to the characters?
Great seeing Steven Lim again all these years after loving him in “Cut Sleeve Boys.” Wow, just love PLU-makes me want to visit SG! :-*
Awww… we’re happy that you enjoyed PLU and yes, do visit us !
Hey guys! I came across this series through a link on FB. This is a great way to raise awareness about the community in Singapore. I never really knew much about the community and this series did open my eyes. At the same time, I hope that it would be useful to the community out there and to those who are suffering in silence. Great work and I would like to see how season 2 pans out! Hope to see a continuation! (:
Thank you very much for the compliment. We are hoping more people can help share the series so that the one who is suffering in silence can connect to us for support. So please help share this great series to your friends.
More seasons to come please! I like how the film is taking on the reality side of the community.
Thank you! Look out for season 2.
I want hot daddyyyyy! Steven lim❤️️
*surffering from withdrawal syndrome* so no season 2? This is a great great way of spreading community messages btw!
Well how would you like season 2 to play out, what would you like to see in the next installment?
More plot development, depth of characters. Learn lessons. Coming of age, risks and peers who guide peers to not only survive but to stand strong.
Hello Mark!
Thank you for the suggestions and YES we are currently working on season 2 with more character developments. We want to tell a realistic story of our community from every angle including the people who helped shape us to be stronger and how to survive in this world.
NO THOSE 2 LOVEBIRDS CANT JUST LEAVE ME HANGING LIKE THAT (season 2 please :”( )
Hi Sheng,
Glad you like the series! Let’s hope we have season 2 soon.
wow… i was pretty skeptical about this show but i stayed on till the final episode. Kudos to you guys for making such a sweet though short webseries. <3 <3 <3
Thank you very much for the compliment.
About time SGP got on the plu web series wagon, and nicely done too albeit each episode is a tad short – feels a bit tip-toeing but never really touching on the subject. Nevertheless, I’m keeping my eyes peeled for more.
Hello JF,
Please keep you eyes wide open for a potential season 2.
Yays!
I think this is a great series! I like how the series touches on less-discussed areas of the gay scene eg. chemsex, raw sex and saunas, in an honest non-judging manner.
We agreed with you DD and we wanted to blend in the educational messages into the series without destroying the creativity of the series.
Totally enjoyed the series and happy to make a small donation as a small gesture. Just asking is it 100% tax deductible or more than that?
Hi Ken,
thank you so much for the donation ! That should help us move closer to season 2!!!!! Hearts.
You get to enjoy 250% tax deduction for donations that are $50 and above between no and 2018.
Kudos to the actors/actress and the production crews who spent so much effort in producing such a nice series. Hopefully there will be 2nd season. 🙂
Aww, thank you for that, i’ll make sure everyone receives your message. Is there nay feedback or idea that you think that might work for season 2?
We definitely need season 2.
There are just too many gay movies/drama with sad endings.
Each episode could be longer and more hot sex scenes please!
Hi Alan, can’t agree more, we need season 2, and hopefully you learned something from one of those hot sex scene.
hi how do I get the password to watch the videos? Pls advice thanks
Hi Kramserolf, you can simply fill up the form at gayhealth.sg/plu/watch/#access and a pop up will appear. The password is in the popup.
Greetings from an a small country on an island across the South China Sea. Firstly, I enjoyed watching this short series because it really involves ordinary looking gay men and not hypersexualised hotties like we often see on TV. This makes it so much easier to relate to and the stories become so much more “real” rather than a fantasy tale where we’re eagerly waiting for clothes to get thrown off onto the floor.
I also love the commentary at the end of each episode. How very casual and approachable. Makes me wish I could bump into them at a bar the next time I come over to visit! ^_^
Coming from a place where being gay is a terrible sin (and technically as illegal as it is in Singapore), the problem for us is that we have no voice and no say. Expected to conform, get married and have kids, many gay men seek solace in being discreet, lurking in the dark shadows of the Internet, changing profile pics as often as they change underwear and getting stressed out from all the hiding.
So the issue of sex education AND reaching out to the homosexual population is a near-impossible feat. Because by right, “we” don’t exist. Talking about it acknowledges that there are gay men and women in the country and this is something that the authorities would rather not have. And unfortunately, even when it’s too late… it still is an issue that is swept under the rug and kept quiet.
However, we have hardworking volunteers that try within their capabilities to spread the message of safe sex.
I hope an effort such as People Like Us can highlight the importance of being safe. And at the same time, not demonise those individuals currently living with HIV.
Much love and respect,
xoxo
Hi EmberNest,
Firstly, thank you very much for your comments and greetings from another small island on the South China Sea !! *Waves*
The team working on the project really wanted to showcase the community as it is, the struggles we face, the little things we celebrate in a place we call home, yet through this, we find that love is such a strong unifying theme that resonates with anyone, of any age, race, gender and sexuality. While the job might be, as you’ve put it, ‘near-impossible’, it’s possible. The first step to change. Is coming together and together we can provide vital support to one another and together, we can achieve great things. Let’s celebrates pride, diversity, individuality and most importantly, life.
BTW, the team is always somewhere or on duty at the clinic. Drop by, say hi!
The series is really really really good. It feels really relatable at times to me and it helps me learn about some things that I am not quite sure is happening in the gay community.
The ending was sad for Rai because I too was once like him with all the words that he said being exactly what I faced.
And then seeing the other 2 main characters get together was heartwarming.
However, what can be further added into season 2 is probably the concept of betrayal as I had a few sauna friends who’ve spoken to me of them betraying behind their lover’s backs and going to sauna secretly to have fun and I myself have encountered that very same situation with my own partner. Which was very very very stressful especially since on weekdays, I am stuck in the army and won’t be able to stop him. It made me, a very positive person turned into someone I’m not because I became so vengeful which is not like myself. But this experience could be a good story on its own. And will help couples to be aware that if their partners have ever gone to sauna, they should be slightly wary of them because it is so addictive since you can have fun with anyone and fuel your ego as a sauna-goer.
I truly truly hope to see a season 2. The characters are all distinct and I would love to see them back. Thank you so much guys for this.
Hello QaF, and thank you for sharing!
I’m sure many of us can relate to what you’ve been through, and agree that the process of finding love can be bittersweet. Love, lust, and life in general is a complicated beast, and there isn’t one specific answer or way around it. The fun thing is, you get to decide what kind of relationship you’d like, and keep in mind that a relationship continues to evolve over the course of its life. Don’t be despair if your previous relationship didn’t quite work out the way you hoped, there’s something to be learned from a failed relationship, through one, we grow, and become better persons, we learn, and understand ourselves, and we emerge stronger.
As for the ending, we wanted one that reflects our lives, and keeping it real. At the same time challenge the ‘I will get HIV, because I am gay’ notion that some people still hold in this day and age. We wanted to show that it’s not only possible, but it’s very normal for gay men to continue to enjoy the things we love, and remain HIV free.
While gayhealth.sg exist to support the community, which includes, persons living with HIV, we also believe that we as a community is part of the solution to help end the spread of HIV, so we can achieve the goal of zero new infections.
And would definitely love to have S2, but let see how we can raise funds to help produce it. QaF, remember that we are a community, and no man is an island. We’re here with you.
wow that was really good. I had to turn my volume down a couple times… even when I was on it.. OMG finally made it through all the barriers. KUDOS!! Go big or go home right, this is definitely big. Btw I love the ends where you guys come out and talk more about some ‘serious’ topics. Let’s keep the ball rolling, more LGBT contents please!
Hey Bai Yu, thank you very much! It’s saucy isn’t it? Tee Hee. We had a tough time convincing everyone that it is integral to the story, reflective of the community, and at the same time, highly education. Don’t you agree?
I’m soooo sharing this series with my friends, more people needs to know about this! Fantastic work!
Yes Simon !!! Thank you for helping us spread the word.
Simply amazing. Thank you for the great storyline and great cast. Hopefully S2 comes and gives a closure. <3
Ah S2, help us make it happen. get more people to view the video, and comment below. Let the world know why we need S2 😀
once again i love the series, i hope there’ll be a S2. It was a nice ending for Joel and Ridzwan but for Rai i guess he’ll keep on looking, just like most of us, still yearning for a connection. Thanks to all the cast and crew for such a wonderful series. Once again good job to all the cast and crew.
*Spoiler Alert*
OMG!!! SO SORRY, quick delete the comment
Can’t wait for the last episode, hope all ends for all of them
*hope they’ll have a good ending for all of them
Closure would be nice….
surprised that this was very well done! Like really really well. I’m emotionally invested on Joel and Ridzwan! Please don’t break my heart.
You’ll have to watch all 6 episode to know. No promises.
Me too…i’m so fangirling those two.
I THOUGHT I saw a familiar Growing Up actor in this series…guess I WAS right! Its quite good! Its a wonder you guys could get clearance for these episodes, hopefully you’ll continue making the series bigger!! Cheers and really good job to all!
Yes you are absolutely right!! Steven Lim flew all the way back to Singapore to join us in this mini production, i’m glad you like it, but we have had to fight for this to see day light. people like us is, after all, public health education.
Love this. Amazing job, guys!
Thank you Jiayi 🙂
I love this so much! You guys are the best! Supporting you 100% <3 <3 <3
Thank you for supporting, how about helping us spread the word ?!?
I will, it was my intention to write about all this on my blog! <3 I like the way you are so consistent to keep the gay community all together! Not just from Singapore, but from all over the world!
About the series, how many episodes are they?
a total for 6 in this series. We had a tough time raising the funds and getting the clearance required, but if there’s enough traction, we might push for a second series 🙂
Let us know when your post is ready, we’ll be happy to share it via our social networks.
I can imagine that is not easy, but I really hope you will make more seasons!
Sure, I’ll let you know, thanks for the support <3

~Daniel’s fanboy =P
I love it
Tell all your friends !!
It has a captivating story line! It makes me want to keep watching and find out what happen next. Acting is good and you can see the effort the actors put into their characters to make them come alive on screen. And I really appreciate that. A wonderful and educational local production which gives any foreign films a run for their money. Thanks!
Hi Scott, thank you very much for your comment. We’ll make sure they reach the actors, producers and director. We have had a long and hard fight, but it’s all worth it when we get good feedback such as this.
It’s really funny and witty… can’t wait for the remaining episodes!
Hey Nathan, hope you’re still following us, the final episode will be out tonight at 12mn !!
I was one of the lucky ones who got to attend the special screening of PLU. I like the series a lot cos it takes an unflinching look at the gay community in Singapore, for example, the practice of chem sex within the community, it’s things we need to talk about without judgement, and I think PLU did that. Well done, I’m looking forward to season 2!
Get your friends to come watch it and no spoilers kay 🙂
I wish i could but the new ep got my heart pounding
Then you won’t want to miss the final two episodes 🙂
Season 2? Sure !!!
Looking good. Keep it up.
Great production. Looking forward to the coming episodes. <3
Final episode will be out tonight at 12mn!!
Good job. Very catchy concept. Keep it up
thank you bL. We can’t have done it without the support of the community 🙂
Fabulous! Congrats Leon and team.
