The Greenhouse Community Survey

Our friends over at The Greenhouse is a substance addiction recovery centre for marginalised communities in Singapore who find it hard to seek help out of shame or fear of discrimination. They are conducting this survey in order to understand drug use within our GBQ men community better.

Statement on the Impact of Section 377A of the Penal Code on AIDS Prevention and Care

Section 377A strengthens and perpetuates stigma and discrimination of Men-who-have-sex-with-men (MSM) and Persons Living with HIV/AIDS (PLHIV), and Action for AIDS firmly believes that the repeal of Section 377A will significantly strengthen HIV and STI Control Programmes in Singapore, not just for the gay and other homosexual men, but indeed for everyone.

Momma Knows Best: In Loving Memory of Bernice

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing away of Benjamin Bernice Gho. He used to front several local gay bar, namely MOX and Does Your Mother Know (DYMK) and a “mother” to many.

We in gayhealth.sg who have known him closely are still trying to come to terms with this sad, tragic news. We have known Ben for many years and are devastated to learn of his passing.
